Gramsh is a typical Albanian town that grew into its present form during the communist industrialisation. Despite frequently being left off travel lists of Albania’s must-see locations, Gramsh has a lot to offer in its surroundings, like Sotira Waterfall or Holta Canyon. Valamara is just waiting to be discovered as one of the most beautiful mountain ranges in the country.

There are several restaurants and hotels in the town.
Transport to Gramsh
Gramsh is a half-hour drive from Tirana. Buses there leave from the TEG terminal in the capital. The town has also bus connections with Elbasan, Durrës, Berat, Lushnjë and Korçë.
TIP: The owners of the Refati restaurant operate taxi jeeps that will take you anywhere you need to go in the area. It might come in handy for transport to the Sotira waterfalls or the village of Grabova e Sipërme, which are inaccessible except by 4×4 vehicle.
The asphalt road in the Devoll River valley now ends in the village of Strelcë, and only a gravel road unsuitable for regular cars continues to Maliq and Korçë. This stretch should also get an asphalt surface soon, creating an alternative scenic road connecting southeastern and central Albania.
The direct road from Berat across Tomorr National Park and the villages of Dardhë and Sotira requires off-road vehicles.
